Challenge:
Optimization of business applications in the multi-service environment by automated performance monitoring, in-depth analytics and modernization of IT infrastructure.

Solution:

A full-scale solution backed by AppDynamics allowed us to enable end-to-end monitoring of application performance and state of IT infrastructure in real time, and leverage analytics to identify and timely tackle various business critical issues, namely:

  • To dynamically baseline the number and speed of transactions at each stage of their execution.
  • Automatically detect business transactions and take snapshots of transactions with abnormal (other than baseline) behavior.
  • Sound the alarm when a transaction is interrupted between steps.
  • In-depth diagnostics up to the code level/SQL-level to identify the root cause in Web, Java, etc.
  • To identify and quantify scalability and degradation.
  • Reveal the root cause of “bugs” and “lags” in the application prior to its release.
  • To analyze data from various sources (applications, databases, customer experience), and automatically create the relationships between them.
  • End-to-end visualization of applications architecture, and the relationships with dependencies on the services in real time and in a historical perspective.

Result:
In-depth monitoring of services and business transactions along with online analytics. Data visualization of all apps’ KPIs. Creating a single source of truth (SSOT). Integration of APM/EUM modules for proactive protection against anomalies and user errors.

Challenge:
To ensure the quality of enterprise network services during peak network loads in accordance with customer requirements.

Solution:

The implementation of QoS included the following steps:

  • To identify applications and traffic types that require QoS.
  • To compile a list of applications and traffic types requiring gradation and prioritization.
  • Fixation and setting the direction and passing of traffic flows.
  • Fixation and setting of marking or re-marking traffic zones.
  • Identification and configuration of zones requiring ensured bandwidth for pre-defined applications and traffic types.
  • Requirements and parameter settings for selected applications or traffic classes (with ensured channel capacity and marking).

Result:
Improved quality of enterprise services at the head and regional offices to ensure robust communication of over 1000 distributed employees. Stable 24/7 operational efficiency of over 20 business applications and network resources.
