The Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022 necessitated decisive action to ensure the reliable protection of the insurance company’s critical services. The decision was made to migrate these critical services to a cloud environment outside of Ukraine.
After evaluating the proposed options, the Client opted for a hybrid solution with the
following capabilities:
- Leverage a private cloud located in an EU data centre to host business critical services.
- Use of a local data centre for less critical services.
- Construction of reliable and secure virtual networks based on Cisco virtual products.
- Utilization of IBM Cloud public resources for hosting virtual machine replicas and data backups.
- Implementation of Veeam software for organizing backups and replicas of virtual
machines.
By implementing a hybrid IT infrastructure, the insurance company was able to ensure
maximum reliability of its IT systems, operate efficiently and provide high-quality services to its customers even during blackouts.
