AI Legal Assistant

The legal department of a large international company required a tool for rapid monitoring and analysis of decisions issued by the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU). 

Existing public AI chatbots did not provide complete data coverage, carried a risk of hallucinations, and did not allow systematic work with the full body of legal practice. The search process was manual, slow, and did not guarantee accuracy. 

AM-BITS implemented a SaaS solution based on the Dataslab Gathering System and Dataslab Knowledge Base with an integrated AI assistant. 

The system provides: 

• automatic ingestion and updating of decisions from the official AMCU website;
  • creation of a structured knowledge base with highlighted key document sections;
  • natural language case search;
  • answers generated exclusively from verified sources with references to the original documents;
  • compliance with information security requirements and deployment within the client’s environment. 

The project introduced an AI assistant that lets lawyers ask questions in natural language and get reliable answers. Lawyers now find relevant legal practice much faster, while the risk of working with incomplete or incorrect data has been greatly reduced. More than 50 users operate from a single centralized knowledge base, and the platform is designed to scale and support future AI tools for legal analysis. The assistant has become a practical part of daily legal work and supports the ongoing digital transformation of the company’s legal function.
